Q. What else is on offer?
On your arrival we will furnish you with our inside Algarve guide. We have had property throughout South West Portugal for nearly ten years and are still surprised by the hidden delights we stumble upon from time to time. We are delighted to be able to share our adventures so you can enjoy your own without the dead ends, angry farmers and other unfortunate antics we’ve experienced along the way.
Tiny teaser: this beautiful secluded & sheltered sandy beach a short walk from the end of a lane and just 5 minutes from the N125. Well off the tourist track and nestled in a lush green valley with a little stream merging with azul blue waters perfect for bathing. Just one of many hidden gems on the doorstep but not in the guidebooks! Some of these are on the doorstep, some are well worth the trek off the beaten track.
Q. Do I have to be fit?
A basic level of fitness is required for activities. We can tailor to suit your age, ability and any preferences you may have. If you are on our programmed fitness week your fitness will improve as the week progresses.
Q. Do I have to be active?
It is not essential that you do anything at all on your stay. Choose to relax and unwind by the pool or take us up on some of the fantastic experiences on offer. Simply put, you can be as active or inactive as you like. The facilities are there for you.
Q. Where will I stay?
OceanBlue Oasis is our exclusive villa featuring spectacular panoramic views, a huge pool and 3 stylish apartments with sprawling gardens set on a hilltop just outside the traditional village of Burgau. We have fruit trees, an olive orchard, a zen island and the other side the hill, acres and acres of wild fig fields to wander.
You can choose from one of three individually stylised apartments or our one bedroom studio suite which is wheelchair friendly. There are spacious communal areas for you to meet other guests as well as your own private terrace space.
The villa is just a 5-10 minute walk from the village and beach with lots of great bars, cafes and restaurants.
If you crave bustling markets and shops, old castles and cobbled streets of alfresco dining head into Lagos, the lively market town just 10 minutes by car.
Q. How many guests are there?
OceanBlue has three apartments each sleeping a maximum of four people and a one bedroom studio flat with a maximum of 3 guests. This makes 15 guests. Then there is us; Lucy, Sean and Sophia. We are your hosts and on hand to ensure you have everything you need and you can start to enjoy your holiday from minute 1. Sophia is 9, loves the water and is always looking for new kids to hang out with.
Q. Where do we eat?
The local village and surrounding area has a huge range of restaurants, beach bars, speciality dining, and cafes. If you decide to dine at home, each apartment has a mini kitchen. They include microwave oven, twin hob, dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment. There is also a communal BBQ area, lots of alfresco little spots to eat as well as your own apartment and terrace. We will recommend our favourite restaurants in your arrival details.
Q. How do you get here?
Although off the beaten track, we are easy to find and just under 1 hour from Faro International Airport. The drive is easy – basically head to Junction 1 and then follow the N125 for 10 minutes further west. We recommend Sixt car hire which you can book when you book flights. We found Avis the most expensive. Alternatively Yellowfish transfers offer door to door transport for 70 euros. If you want to use public transport, the train is 7 euros plus 7-10 euros for the taxi to the station.

If you are looking for more activities outside of those specified, we are happy to arrange and advise. Please just ask.
